If you wish to receive communion from a Eucharistic Minister due to illness, age, or handicap, contact Jeannie Horton at 919.734.5033 ext. 234. These visits are made after the Mass has been celebrated.
So Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever.' After this many of his disciples drew back and no longer went about with him. Jesus said to the twelve, 'Will you also go away?'
- John 6:53-58, 66-67
Children preparing for their First Reconciliation and Eucharist must be baptized Catholic. The guidelines of the Diocese of Raleigh require that Sacramental preparation be a two-year process, beginning in the First Grade. The celebrations of the sacraments occur in the Second Year of formation. The same preparation process is provided to children in the parochial school.
For children at Saint Mary Catholic School, contact your child's teacher or Mrs. Jeannnie Horton.
For all others, please contact the Director of Faith Formation for more information.
